The iRacing Champions League Modified National Tour is back for Season 3, and the new campaign will once again test drivers across a wide mix of dirt tracks throughout the ICL Modified division. After two seasons of different winners, changing momentum, and some of the deepest fields in the league, the third season brings the tour back with a full 21-race schedule.
The Modified National Tour has already built a strong history inside ICL. Across the previous two seasons, drivers have won at short tracks, momentum tracks, technical facilities, and big-name dirt venues. That variety is what makes the National Tour stand out: a driver cannot rely on being good at only one type of track. To win the championship, they have to show up across the full schedule and score points everywhere.
Season 2 featured a long list of race winners, including Landon Capps, Brandon Bolton, JT Ferry, Trenton Parks, Ashton Cohee, Aidan Strawberry, James A Murphy, Colton Zimmer, Brandon Holtmeier, Brayden Donaldson, Jerry Flippo, Calvin D Crawley, CJ Howell, and Richie Yost. That kind of variety shows how difficult this series can be to control. Even the strongest drivers can find themselves challenged week after week by new names and track-specific specialists.
The all-time Modified National Tour win list also sets up several major storylines for Season 3. Colton Zimmer enters as one of the biggest names to watch with six National Tour wins, while Mitchell Huddleston has four and James Richard2 has three. Behind them, drivers like Matt S Sanders, Ashton Cohee, Brandon Bolton, and Calvin D Crawley have each already proven they can win multiple times on the tour. With 21 races on the calendar, the Season 3 win list could change quickly.
The championship path will be demanding from start to finish. The drivers who can qualify well, avoid big mistakes, and turn average nights into solid points nights will be the ones with a real shot at the title when the season reaches its final stretch.
The Modified National Tour has already shown that it can create breakout winners and reward established veterans. Season 3 should be no different. The question now is whether one of the proven names can take control early, or whether a new contender will use the 21-race grind to make a championship push.
