The inaugural Pro 4 Lucas Oil Off Road Championship is officially in the books, and it ended exactly the way most of the season went: Drake Mittag out front, untouchable, and collecting another win. In the series finale at Lucas Oil Speedway, Mittag led all eight laps once again, grabbed the QuickTime bonus point, and locked up the Season 1 Track Championship in dominant fashion. With six races complete, he didn’t just win the title—he owned the series.
From the moment this championship began, the story was simple: if Mittag showed up, he won. That trend held all the way through the finale. He was smooth through the rhythm sections, decisive on corner entry, and consistent enough to never let the pressure build behind him. Even as the field grew deeper and the challengers cycled in and out across the season, the result stayed the same—Mittag at the top, controlling the pace, and leaving everyone else to fight for the scraps behind him.
Behind the champion, Sean Winkler capped off a strong season with another runner-up finish in the finale. Winkler was the closest thing to a weekly threat all season, and his consistency is why he ends the year as the clear second-best points scorer. In the finale, he stayed clean, kept his laps together, and finished second once again—exactly what you have to do in a points series when the leader is firing on all cylinders.
The surprise of the night came from Chris Spaulding, who made his first career ICL start and immediately landed on the podium in third. That’s not easy in a Pro 4 field at Lucas Oil, especially in a short eight-lap sprint where one mistake can cost multiple spots instantly. Spaulding’s pace and composure were impressive, and it was a statement debut that hints at what he could do if he becomes a regular.
Just behind the podium, the finale reshuffled a few key pieces in the final standings. David Holdren delivered another solid run for fourth, while Dusty Fincher brought home fifth to cap off a season built on persistence and steady points nights. Aidan Strawberry, who had been the steadiest points scorer outside the top two across the schedule, finished sixth in the finale but still put together a season worthy of the final top three conversation. And further back, drivers like Dennis Holley and Trent Rucker continued to stack finishes—important in a format where simply bringing home points each round can swing positions in the final table.
With the final checkered flag waved, the standings tell the full story of this first-ever ICL Pro 4 championship. Mittag is the champion with 65 points, built on wins and bonus points that separated him from the field. Winkler finishes second with 57, a strong season that would win most championships in most years—just not this one. Aidan Strawberry completes the top three at 47, edging out Brenden McGlothlin (42) after a season-long battle of consistency versus ceiling. And in the rest of the top ten, Dusty Fincher, Dennis Holley, and Holden Rowe all earned strong finishes through persistence and big single-race points nights when it counted.
