Season 2 runner-up at the Grove, Carson Z Jenkins, set the pace from row two that night, but the story was Hodge’s flag-to-flag efficiency. Aidan Strawberry finished sixth in that race and brings the most momentum among full-timers after another podium last time out. Strawberry’s Grove résumé across features 21 starts, 2 wins, and a 67% top-five rate—evidence that his style translates at this place. Kinser Lightner was seventh here in Season 2 and owns a win already this season; he’s a prime sleeper to punch above his points position.

JT Ferry’s Season 2 Grove outing ended down the order (14th), but his current form is stronger than those old notes suggest. Ferry clawed through traffic at Lucas Oil and remains second in points. If he qualifies well and converts track position into clean laps, he’s a credible threat to break the tour’s recent Strawberry stretch. Brenden McGlothlin, 15th at the Grove in Season 2, has been a steady scorer this year and can turn a mid-pack start into late-race gains; he’s one of the few with Grove reps and 2025 track time.

A few historical signposts matter here. Ryan Hodge owns 5 wins in 8 ICL starts at Williams Grove (63% win rate) and has led in 60% of those races; even if he’s a one-off entry, he instantly reshapes the front of the grid. Colton Zimmer is the venue’s ironman with 28 ICL starts, 6 wins, and a 93% top-10 rate. Whether or not they appear, those figures frame the lap-time ceiling the active roster will chase.

The championship calculus tightens with each round. Points are simple: 12 to win, then minus one per position, plus 1 for fast time. Strawberry’s current lead over Ferry means any single-race swing—especially a pole point plus a top-two finish—can either stabilize the gap or cut it meaningfully. Behind them, Brayden E Carter, Seth Gregory, and Ben Joly are locked within a narrow band; a podium at the Grove would vault any of them into striking distance for the final stretch.
