Logan Prickett opened the iRacing Champions League Non Wing National Tour with a dramatic victory at Knoxville Raceway, holding off Parker Leek after a race-long fight near the front of the field. The event drew 34 cars, with Prickett and Leek setting the tone up front in a 25-lap feature that came down to the final corner.
Prickett started from the pole and led 13 laps on his way to the win, but it was far from a runaway. Leek started second and kept pressure on Prickett throughout the race before taking control near the halfway point. From there, Prickett regrouped and began working back into position, setting up a late attack as the race approached the finish.
Coming to the white flag, Prickett made his move and overtook Leek for the lead. The two stayed locked together through the final lap, and coming to the checkered flag, they came together in turn four while racing for the win. Prickett held on to score the victory, while Leek finished second after leading 12 laps and posting the fastest race lap of the event with an 18.597.
The win was a major moment for Prickett, marking his first ICL victory since July 16, 2024, when he won in a wing car at Fairbury. It also came in just his seventh overall ICL start, making the performance an important breakthrough in his ICL career. Leek, meanwhile, was looking for his ninth career ICL win and still left Knoxville Raceway with a strong points night after finishing runner-up.
Brenden McGlothlin delivered one of the strongest drives of the race, charging from 14th to 3rd to earn the final podium spot. That 11-position gain made him the hard charger of the event. Seth Gregory also put together a solid run from 5th to 4th, while LA Nichols finished 5th in what was noted as his first career start.
The points format gave Prickett an even bigger night. With 12 points going to the winner and one bonus point available for qualifying fast time, Prickett left Knoxville Raceway with the maximum 13-point race total. Leek scored 11 points for second, while McGlothlin earned 10 points for third. With the season just getting started, that creates an immediate points battle at the front between Prickett, Leek, and McGlothlin, while Gregory and Nichols also leave the opener inside the top five.
Further back, Kasey Hamilton had the toughest swing of the night after starting 4th and finishing 13th, a loss of nine positions. Kendrick Cargill and MJ Borges also lost eight spots each after starting inside the top seven. With every position mattering in the ICL Non Wing National Tour points format, those lost spots could become important as the season continues.
