Tanner Pettit2 returned to the iRacing Champions League in winning form, scoring the victory in the ICL Non Wing National Tour at Fairbury Speedway. Pettit2 started second, led all 25 laps, and picked up the win in just his second career ICL start. His only previous ICL appearance came back in 2023 in a Winged 360 race at Eldora, where he also went to victory lane.
The race started with a strong early battle for the lead between Pettit2 and Jayden Wolf. Wolf started from the pole and was fast enough to stay in the fight early, while Pettit2 made his move and worked to take control. The two battled closely for about two laps before Pettit2 was able to separate himself from the field and begin building the winning run.
Pettit2’s pace was strong throughout the feature. He set the fastest lap of the race with an 11.698 and finished with an 11.986 average lap. Once he cleared the early fight with Wolf, Pettit2 controlled the race from the front and never gave up the top spot.
Wolf finished second and still left Fairbury Speedway with a strong points night. He earned 11 race points for finishing second and added the one-point qualifying fast time bonus, giving him 12 total points on the night. That result helped Wolf continue his climb in the National Tour standings, moving him up one spot into fifth overall.
Aidan Strawberry finished third and continued to strengthen his hold on the National Tour points lead. Strawberry now has 96 total points through 10 starts, stretching his advantage to 20 points over Logan Prickett. Prickett finished fourth at Fairbury and remains second in the standings with 76 points, while Brenden McGlothlin sits third with 58.
Craig Silby rounded out the top five after starting seventh, gaining two positions and earning eight race points. Dylan Schriner was the hard charger of the race, climbing from 12th to 8th. Bryce MacFarlane2 also moved forward from 11th to 9th, while Brayden E Carter completed the top 10 in the race results and remains fourth in the overall standings.
The toughest night by position change belonged to Greyson Henry2, who started sixth and finished 12th. Kenny Hoffman2 also lost ground after starting third and finishing sixth, while Kyle Reeder slipped from ninth to 11th. With the points format paying 12 points to win, one fewer point per position behind, and one bonus point available for qualifying fast time, every spot continues to matter as the National Tour works deeper into the schedule.
The championship picture now has Strawberry in command, but Prickett remains within reach at 20 points back. McGlothlin is 38 points behind the leader, while Brayden E Carter sits fourth at 45 points. Wolf’s runner-up finish and bonus point helped him move to 36 points, giving him a stronger hold inside the top five after another productive night.
