The iRacing Champions League 410 Winged Sprint Volusia Championship continued at Volusia Speedway Park, and Race 5 delivered a dominant return performance from Jac Young. In his first ICL start since April 2025, Young started from the pole, led all 25 laps, earned the quick time bonus, and captured the victory in a clean sweep of the top points available.
The win marked Young’s second career ICL victory in just his third career start, making the performance even more impressive. Young set the tone early and never gave up control, leading every lap while also posting the fastest lap of the race with a 14.200. With 12 points for the win and one bonus point for quick time, Young earned the maximum 13 points on the night and immediately jumped into the top 10 in the championship standings despite making only one start in the series.
Behind Young, Aidan Strawberry continued to apply pressure in the championship battle with a second-place finish. Strawberry started fourth and worked his way to the runner-up spot, finishing 1.146 seconds behind Young. It was another important points night for Strawberry, who now sits second in the standings with 47 points, just six points behind championship leader Brayden E. Carter.
Brenden McGlothlin returned to the front of the results with a third-place finish after starting second. That result helped him make one of the biggest moves in the standings, climbing 12 positions into a three-way tie for seventh with Kyle Peters6 and Jaxon Raudabaugh. Carter finished fourth after starting sixth, adding nine more points to keep control of the championship lead at 53 points with the season nearing its finish.
Another major storyline came from Daryl Whitlow, who finished fifth in his third career start and first ICL appearance since July 2025. The result marked Whitlow’s best career finish, giving him a strong return to competition. Adam Presnar finished sixth, while Nate Matherly earned the hard charger effort of the race by driving from 13th to seventh, gaining six positions.
The toughest night in terms of position change belonged to Ryker Jones, who started seventh and finished 14th. Kyle Peters6 also lost ground after starting third and finishing eighth, but he still remains inside the top 10 in points. With the standings tightening behind the top two, every position from third through tenth remains important as drivers continue fighting for placement in the final championship order.
With five races now counted, the title fight is centered around Carter and Strawberry. Carter leads by six points, but Strawberry’s second-place finish kept him close enough to make the final stretch interesting. Behind them, Seth Gregory remains third at 25 points, while Reece Raudabaugh, Trey Pinder, Levi Fisher, McGlothlin, Peters, Jaxon Raudabaugh, and Young round out a competitive top 10.
