The ICL Mini Stock Central Region Championship rolled into and the night belonged to Casey Wynn. In a short field, Wynn didn’t just win — he controlled the race from the front, built a massive advantage, and backed it up with the kind of stat line that screams “championship pace.” It was also a milestone moment, marking career win #17 for Wynn.

Wynn started on the pole and immediately set the tempo, leading 30 laps and never giving the rest of the field a real chance to challenge for the top spot. The gap was decisive — Wynn was in command to the point he was effectively half a lap ahead, showing that once he got clean air, he was gone. He also posted the fastest lap of the race (22.092) to cap off a complete performance.

Behind the leader, the fight was still meaningful — especially with points paying 12 to win, then one less per position, plus the 1-point qualifying fast time bonus. Owen J Wilson finished 2nd, tying his career-best finish, and continued to show he can capitalize when opportunities present themselves. Zeke Caylor completed the podium in 3rd — and it was an impressive debut, as this was Caylor’s first career ICL start.

The rest of the finishing order added more to the championship story. Doug Welch finished 5th, and while it wasn’t a headline result on paper, it was a points-building night that keeps him firmly positioned as Wynn’s closest challenger overall. Peyton Worden2 brought it home 6th, and Brian Troyer rounded out the night in 7th as the series pushes toward its next stop.

With four rounds complete, Wynn is beginning to stretch the margin in the standings. He now leads with 45 points, while Welch remains the primary chaser at 24. Behind them, several drivers are tied or clustered close enough that one strong run at the next event could swing multiple positions. The pressure now shifts to Lanier, where the field will try to punch back and keep the championship from turning into a runaway.
