Round 11 of the iRacing Champions League Midget National Tour at Weedsport Speedway belonged to Aidan Strawberry, who delivered a flawless performance. He set the fast time in qualifying for the bonus point, started from the pole, and never surrendered the top spot through all 25 laps. His pace was unmatched, even setting the fastest lap of the feature, and his wire-to-wire victory added maximum points to an already commanding season.
The race behind Strawberry was anything but calm. Carter Jensrud stormed through the field from 10th to finish second, earning Hard Charger honors with a gain of eight positions. Doug Welch secured a podium in third after capitalizing on early race chaos. Just behind, Brayden E Carter and James Roselli completed the top five, both showing resilience after an incident where Roselli and Carter tangled but managed to recover and continue on. Welchβs quick move to avoid that spin proved crucial, keeping him in podium contention.
Not every contender left Weedsport satisfied. Parker Leek was the only driver able to challenge Strawberryβs pace early, but his night came to a dramatic end after making contact with the Turn 3 wall and flipping out of the park. He was scored in 10th after the retirement, a costly result in the championship chase. With just a handful of rounds left, the incident may prove pivotal as the season tightens toward its finale.
In the championship standings, Strawberryβs victory extended his lead at the top to 46 points over Leek. Roselli sits another 10 points behind in third, with Seth Gregory and Craig Silby completing the top five. Welchβs podium gave him the biggest boost in the standings, while Jensrudβs runner-up finish immediately placed him among the top 20 in points, a strong debut for his campaign.
As the series pushes past the halfway mark, Weedsport once again delivered a mix of dominance and drama. Strawberry showed why he is the driver to beat, Jensrud announced himself as a serious threat with a breakout run, and Leekβs misfortune reshaped the points battle. With every lap now magnified by the shrinking calendar, the road to the championship is only getting more intense.
