The Regional East Series made its second stop of the season at , and the night delivered exactly what a fresh championship fight needs—a brand-new winner, a tight battle at the front, and a points picture that’s already getting spicy after only two races. With points paying 12 to win, one less per position behind, plus 1 point for qualifying fast time, every position matters, and Oswego proved it doesn’t take long for the standings to start taking shape.

At the front, it was a great three-car battle for the win between Aidan Strawberry, Brayden E Carter, and Branson Woodward. The trio traded pace and pressure throughout the 22-lap run, and the finishing order shows just how close it was—Carter’s margin to the winner was only -0.107 at the line. But in the end, it was Woodward who executed the cleanest closing stretch and cashed in on the biggest moment of his ICL Dirt Modified career.

Branson Woodward not only grabbed the win, he did it in storybook fashion: first career victory in his 25th career start. That’s the kind of breakthrough result that changes a season instantly, and he made it count with a max-points night—win plus the qualifying bonus for 13 total points. Add in the fact that he led 9 laps in a race that saw multiple lead changes, and it wasn’t a fluke or a “right place, right time” finish. He was a true factor at the front and earned it.

Right behind him, Brayden E Carter put together another high-value points run. Carter led 13 laps, recorded the fastest lap of the race (18.823), and was in position to win late. Even without the checkered flag, second place and 11 points is exactly how you stay in a championship fight—especially when the leader is stacking top-three finishes week after week. Aidan Strawberry continued that consistency too, finishing 3rd for 10 points and keeping control of the standings even as new winners emerge.

The rest of the top 10 had some strong storylines of its own. Brenden McGlothlin backed up his Round 1 pace with a solid 4th, staying right in the mix near the top of the standings. Samuel Wright5 (5th) and Chelby Hinton (6th) turned in clean, valuable runs that will matter later in the season if the points battle tightens further. And from deeper in the grid, Tyler Cooper improved from 8th to 7th for a nice positive move forward, while Aiden Snead charged from 19th to 8th—the biggest gain in the top half of the field and the hard-charger story of the night.

After two races, the East championship picture is already developing real tension. Strawberry remains the points leader at 23, but Carter is now only two points back at 21, setting up a true head-to-head battle as the schedule continues. McGlothlin sits third at 15, while Woodward’s win launches him straight to 4th with 13 points in just one start—meaning if he shows up again, he’s instantly a major factor. With five races still to go, the math is wide open, and the next round could swing the standings in a hurry.
