The Super Late Model East Regional Series wrapped up Season 2 with the Race 7 finale at Williams Grove Speedway (Jan 26, 2026), and the closing night delivered a little bit of everything—new faces at the top, late-season momentum swings, and a final standings sheet that rewarded consistency just as much as raw winning power. With the points system set at 12 points to win (one less per finishing position) plus 1 bonus point for qualifying fast time, the finale carried the same high-value ingredients as every round before it: track position, pace, and the ability to finish where it counts.
Out front, Brilee Putnam turned the finale into a statement performance. Putnam secured the qualifying fast-time bonus point and then backed it up with a wire-to-wire win, leading all 30 laps for a maximum 13-point night (12 + 1). It was Putnam’s first ICL win since 2024, and a milestone result in just his 7th career start. The speed matched the control: Putnam also set the fastest lap of the race (19.583), leaving no doubt about who owned the closing chapter at Williams Grove.
Behind the winner, Brayden E Carter capped a short-but-deadly season with a strong runner-up finish worth 11 points, continuing the theme that when Carter shows up, he’s a front-row problem for everyone. The biggest mover among the front finishers was Anthony Morano, who charged from 12th to 3rd—a nine-position gain that earns hard-charger honors and lands as Morano’s second-best career finish. Dean Reynolds kept his night clean and steady for 4th, and Samuel Wright5 brought it home 5th, adding crucial points to lock down his position in the final standings.
The race also had a moment that reshaped the battle behind Putnam. Joseph Grandy emerged as the closest challenger at one stage, but the run was disrupted when he had to defer to the gate opening down the backstretch. Several drivers were caught out by the same issue, including another front-runner in Tyler Bickford, and that sequence helped swing the fight for the podium as the field tried to reset their rhythm and salvage results in the closing laps.
When the dust settled on the season, the championship story was defined by one word: consistency. Aidan Strawberry finishes as the Season 2 series champion with 56 points, and the numbers show why—five starts, five top-fives, and a season anchored by reliable high-point nights when it mattered most. Even with the finale producing a big swing behind him, Strawberry’s earlier body of work provided too much separation to overcome, and he closes out the year with the title secured.
The runner-up battle also took final shape at Williams Grove. Samuel Wright5 ends the season 2nd overall with 45 points, while Brayden E Carter claims 3rd with 37—a total built on a remarkable stat line of two wins in three starts, plus multiple qualifying bonus points along the way. The fight for 4th and 5th tightened right to the end as well: Hadley Boyce holds 4th with 23, while Morano’s late-season surge lifts him to 5th with 21, just two points back. And deeper in the top 10, the gaps stayed razor thin—Jake Silvia edges Joseph Grandy by a single point for 6th, and Andrew Borton and Brilee Putnam finish tied on points at 13, with the finale result pushing Putnam into the year-end top 10.
