The Wild West Motorsports Park Pro 4 Championship stayed in the spotlight with another decisive performance at Wild West Motorsports Park, as Sean Winkler kept his perfect season intact. Winkler backed up his earlier win with another statement drive—fast all night, clean in the main, and once he got to the point, nobody had an answer.
Winkler’s night had the full “complete weekend” feel. He snagged QuickTime for the extra bonus point, then converted it into the feature win, leading every lap of the 10-lap main event. The pace was there immediately too—Winkler also laid down the fastest lap of the race with a 48.497, reinforcing just how locked-in the No. 1 was from green to checkered.
Behind him, the biggest headlines were the breakthrough runs. Chase Spaulding delivered a huge result with a runner-up finish, and Michael Boyd followed it up with third—both marking career-best ICL finishes and instantly making them names to keep an eye on as this championship develops. When you’ve got a points format where every spot matters, nights like that don’t just look good on paper—they can change the shape of a season.
The fight for the rest of the top 10 was busy and competitive, and it produced the hard charger of the night. Trent Rucker started deep and marched forward to finish 10th, gaining four spots to earn the biggest positional move among the classified finishers. David Holdren also made a strong push forward (+3 from his starting spot) to grab a top-five, while Dusty Fincher continued his steady points-building with another top-seven that keeps him firmly in the early championship conversation.
One of the best stories of the round belonged to Joey Herbie, who made his first career ICL start and immediately showed he belongs—bringing it home fourth in a stacked field. That kind of debut matters in a championship built on consistency, and it adds another proven front-runner to a points picture that’s getting deeper by the race.
With two races in the books, the standings now have a clear early tone-setter. Winkler is 2-for-2 and already building breathing room at the top, but the next tier is loaded with drivers who can pressure him if they keep stacking top finishes. Strawberry has been the closest weekly threat so far, Fincher is grinding out solid points, and Spaulding/Boyd’s big nights inject fresh momentum into the chase. It’s early—but in a six-race series, these early rounds matter a lot.
