Brenden McGlothlin grabbed the win with a wire-to-wire drive that wasn’t as comfortable as it looked on paper, while Brayden E Carter continued his relentless points march with another top-three that keeps him firmly in the driver’s seat with just one race remaining in the 7-race championship.
McGlothlin’s night started with a moment that told you he came ready to win. He timed the start about as close as you can without drawing a penalty, then went straight into a door-to-door scrap with Chase Hardy on the opening lap. McGlothlin came out of that duel with the lead, and from there he never officially gave it up—30 laps led, one leader, no lead changes—the kind of stat line that screams control. But “control” doesn’t mean “easy,” especially not when the closing laps turn into a fight for survival.
Because behind him, Brandon Bolton turned the final run into a full-on chess match. Bolton hounded McGlothlin late, and with the laps winding down he threw a slider in Turns 1 and 2 on the last lap that very nearly stole the win. McGlothlin answered it perfectly—getting back by and holding Bolton off through the final two turns to seal an exciting victory. The margin was razor thin, and that’s exactly what made it one of the most memorable finishes of the year.
While the win was the headline, the podium mattered just as much for the championship. Carter brought it home 3rd, collecting another big points result in a season that has been built on consistency and minimizing damage. Hardy backed up his early-lap speed with a 4th-place finish, and Aidan Strawberry—the driver chasing Carter for the title—finished 5th, keeping himself in the fight but losing some critical ground in the math with only one round left to make a move.
The mid-pack had some serious performances too. The hard-charger spotlight goes to Michael D Carter, who drove from 15th to 8th—a massive gain and the biggest move forward among the front half of the field. Aidan Strawberry also made a strong climb from 10th to 5th, and there were solid forward runs from drivers like Kyle A Hardy (13th to 7th) and Keegan Osantowski (14th to 11th). On the flip side, Doug Welch had one of the tougher nights in terms of track position, slipping from 5th to 12th, which had a direct impact on the battle for third in the standings.
Now the season-long storyline is crystal clear: Brayden E Carter leads the championship with 62 points, and Aidan Strawberry is second with 53—a 9-point gap with one race remaining. That margin is huge, but not untouchable in a points system where 12 points go to the winner and the qualifying fast-time bonus can add one more. Strawberry’s path is simple but demanding: he needs a big points night, and he needs Carter to have a rare off-night by his standards. Meanwhile, Carter’s mission is even simpler—do what he’s done all season: stay near the front, bank points, and force Strawberry to be perfect. Behind them, McGlothlin’s win launches him to 3rd in points with 31, and the fight for the rest of the top five remains tight as the finale approaches.
