The iRacing Champions League Midget National Tour is ready to kick off its highly anticipated third season at Kern County Raceway Parkβs dirt oval. As the opener to a series that will visit every dirt track on the iRacing platform, this event carries added weight: the first chance for drivers to establish momentum in the championship hunt and set the tone for the season ahead.
Looking Back: Season 2 at Kern County
The Midget National Tour made its lone visit to Kern County in Season 2, and that event was all about precision and consistency. Aidan Strawberry started from the pole and led all 18 laps to claim the win, scoring a flawless, caution-free victory. JT Ferry followed close behind in second, while Connor Mirabelli surged from sixth to round out the podium. Kinser Lightner and James Roselli completed the top five.
Though the race ran green from start to finish, not everyone made it to the checkered flag, with several drivers falling victim to connection issues before the finish. That clean, dominant showing set a high bar for future Kern County rounds, and the opener of Season 3 is set to write the next chapter.
A Fresh Season Ahead
With more than 20 races on the calendar and a total purse exceeding $300, the National Tour continues to grow as one of the premier dirt oval series on iRacing. The format will once again reward speed, strategy, and week-to-week consistency as drivers battle for points, payouts, and the coveted championship trophy.
Every stop on the schedule presents its own challenges, and Kern County Raceway is the first test of many. The question isnβt just who will win the openerβbut who will find the rhythm needed to carry momentum into a long and demanding campaign.
