The inaugural King of series rolled on with the Late Model Stock division at Martinsville Speedway, and Justin Brooks made an immediate statement in his first iRacing Champions League start. Brooks started from the pole, led 40 laps, collected the qualifying bonus point, and completed a perfect 13-point night to become the fourth different winner in the first four races of the series. In a championship built around adapting from division to division, Brooks could not have asked for a stronger debut. His first start became his first win, and he did it in dominant fashion from start to finish.

Brooks controlled the race at the front, but the fight behind him had a major impact on the championship standings. Jackson Hicks finished second after starting third, giving him his best career finish in his fourth career ICL start. Tyler Reif2 also delivered a breakthrough performance in third, matching that same theme with a best career finish in his own fourth career start. Jesse Henderson followed in fourth and turned in one of the most important runs of the night from a points perspective, while Jake Trainor completed the top five with a steady drive that kept him near the front all race long.

Although Brooks led every lap, Hicks still turned in one of the fastest cars in the field and set the fastest lap of the race at 20.287 seconds. That speed helped him stay in contention throughout the feature and nearly challenge for the win by the end. One of the biggest movers in the field was John Kinder, who charged from 19th on the grid to finish 10th, a gain of nine positions and the best improvement of the race. Reif’s move from seventh to third was also one of the standout drives of the night, while Brayden E Carter continued his steady march through the season by climbing from 11th to sixth.

The race also delivered one of the night’s biggest turning points almost immediately. Casey Wynn started on the outside of the front row, but contact with Jonathan Tracey on lap two sent him around and changed the course of his evening. Wynn still recovered to finish ninth and salvage four points, which may prove important later in the championship, but it was a missed opportunity after entering the race second in the standings. Carter Langley2 had the toughest night in terms of positions lost, falling from eighth on the grid to 17th in the final rundown.

With five races still to go, the championship picture is starting to take on real shape. Brayden E Carter leaves Martinsville Speedway still on top of the King of Martinsville Speedway standings with 29 points. Carter has not won yet, but his consistency has been unmatched through four races, and his sixth-place finish in the Late Model Stock round was enough to stretch his lead. Wynn remains second with 23 points despite the difficult night, while Aidan Strawberry sits third with 20. Jesse Henderson made one of the biggest jumps in the standings, climbing 12 spots into fourth after his fourth-place finish. Jackson Hicks made an even bigger surge, jumping 19 spots into a tie for ninth after backing up his speed with a runner-up finish.

That is what is making this series so compelling early in its first season. Through four races at Martinsville Speedway, there have already been four different winners: Casee Sprinkle in SK Mods, Riley Halverson II in Craftsman Trucks, Dylan Schriner in ARCA, and now Brooks in Late Model Stock. Yet the overall leader remains Carter, whose ability to keep stacking solid finishes has been just as valuable as any single-race win. With the field continuing to shuffle as different divisions hit the track, every round is creating new contenders and new pressure in the standings. The balance between race-winning upside and week-to-week consistency is becoming the central storyline of the King of Martinsville Speedway championship.
