Season 1 Recap: Different Winners, One Consistent Champion
Season 1 delivered a little of everything—new tracks each week, tight 35-lap sprints, and a winner’s list that stayed unpredictable.

-
Oswego Speedway Dirt: Colton Zimmer (back-to-back wins)
-

The Season 1 Champion
While multiple drivers grabbed feature wins, the title went to the driver who showed up and delivered results every single week:
🏆 Jonathan McGuire — Season 1 Champion
McGuire topped the standings with 65 points, backed by 7 starts and 6 Top-5s / 6 Top-10s—a perfect example of how consistency can beat outright win totals in a short series.
Early Storylines and Drivers to Watch in Season 2
With Season 2 here, the target is clear: take down the defending champ and survive a schedule that demands versatility.
Here are a few names that stand out immediately based on the points picture and recent results:
-
Jonathan McGuire – The defending champion is the definition of steady. If you want the title, you’ll likely have to beat him over the full 7-race grind.
-
Colton Zimmer – Season 1’s biggest win total (2 victories) and a constant threat any time he’s on track. If he’s there week-to-week, he’s a championship-level problem.
-
Brandon Holtmeier – Strong points presence and a driver who can jump into the mix quickly.
-
Jaxson Reitzler – Always capable of landing in the right place when it counts.
-
Darren Shores – A driver who can stack finishes and hang around the front of the points chase.
-
Christopher Joy, Calvin D Crawley, Trent Ivey2, Gunnar Walls, Evan Channell – All race winners from Season 1, meaning the series is loaded with drivers who already know how to close.
Season 1 proved one thing: you don’t need to dominate every week to win, but you do need to minimize mistakes and maximize points when the opportunity shows up.
All-Time ICL Super Late Model (Dirt) Tidbits
Looking beyond just this series, the broader ICL Super Late Model (Dirt) stats show exactly who has been setting the pace over time:
-
Colton Zimmer has been the benchmark: 49 starts, 14 wins, 11 poles, and an incredible 98% Top-10 rate—plus 312 laps led to underline the dominance.
-
Brayden E Carter brings serious speed: 9 wins and a huge 195 “fast laps” total, along with 60 total passes—the kind of driver who can turn a race in traffic.
If you’re building a shortlist of who can win any given night—and who can survive seven straight rounds—those kinds of numbers matter.
