The iRacing Champions League East Regional Championship continued at Bark River International Raceway, and Round 2 delivered a major swing in the early title fight. Thad Countryman put together a complete night—leading eight laps, controlling the pace from the drop, and stacking the maximum points available with the QuickTime bonus. With two rounds complete, the championship picture is officially tight at the top, and every point is already starting to matter.

Countryman’s win was the type of performance that defines an East Regional season. Bark River rewards precision and momentum, and Countryman never gave the field a real opening. He led every lap and stayed mistake-free while the battles behind him shuffled the order. It’s also another career milestone for Countryman, marking his second career ICL win, and it instantly elevates him into the center of the championship conversation.

Behind the winner, Sean Winkler delivered another strong run with a second-place finish, staying close enough to apply pressure but never quite getting the clean opportunity needed to make the decisive move. Adam McAfee rounded out the podium in third, keeping his season on track and banking another big points night. Chase Spaulding finished fourth, and Brandon Fourcade made noise immediately by landing inside the top five in his first career ICL start—a strong debut at a track that can be unforgiving when you’re learning it in traffic.

The biggest move through the field belonged to Mladen Lakovic, who charged from 16th on the grid all the way up to 7th—a nine-position gain that earns hard charger honors. There were other strong recovery runs as well, including Lance J West climbing from 20th to 12th and Seth Gregory advancing from 17th to 10th. In an eight-lap sprint at Bark River, those kinds of gains are hard-earned and can be just as important as a podium when points are on the line.

The toughest break of the night belonged to Michael Boyd3, who came in with momentum after a podium in Round 1 but was forced out of contention early after breaking a left front in Turn 1. That single moment didn’t just affect the finishing order—it also tightened the standings behind the leaders and opened the door for several drivers to gain ground in the early championship math.

With two races complete, the East Regional standings now have a real edge to them. Countryman and McAfee are tied at 22 points at the top, setting up a genuine duel as the series continues. Damen Leonard sits third with steady points, while a tight cluster behind him shows how quickly this championship can shuffle with one big run—or one rough night. With the East Regional schedule still offering plenty of opportunities ahead, Bark River has already proven it can create big moments and bigger points swings.
