Brayden E Carter continued his perfect start to the iRacing Champions League Pro Late Model West Regional Championship with another victory, this time at . After winning the opening round at , Carter backed it up with a second straight win to open the seven-race championship. The Cedar Lake Speedway victory was also career win No. 82 for Carter, adding another milestone to one of the strongest résumés in ICL competition.

Carter started from the pole and led 30 laps, but this one was far from a runaway. Landon Murray made his first career ICL start and immediately became one of the biggest stories of the race, finishing second and pushing Carter all the way to the end. Murray pulled alongside Carter multiple times late in the race and came up just short, finishing only 0.068 seconds behind at the line. Even without the win, it was an impressive debut that instantly puts Murray into the early championship picture.

The front of the field also featured a strong return from Leo Lemire, who made his first ICL start since April 2024 and came away with a third-place finish. Lemire started seventh and climbed four spots, giving him a strong points night in his return. Chris Thibodeaux2 also made his first career start and finished fourth, giving the Cedar Lake Speedway round multiple standout performances from drivers either debuting or returning after a long absence.

Only two drivers from Round 1 returned for Round 2: the father-son Carter duo. Brayden E Carter turned that into another maximum-point night, while Michael D Carter had a much tougher run after an early race incident and finished 16th. That result dropped Michael into a tie for fourth in the standings, while Brayden extended his lead at the top.

Landon Murray set the fastest lap of the race with a 13.300, giving him one of the strongest overall performances of the night even without the win. The biggest charge through the field came from Zak Yost, who drove from 18th to ninth and gained nine positions. Jeremy Flock also made a major move forward, climbing from 17th to seventh, while Seth Gregory went from 11th to sixth.

Through two races, Brayden E Carter has built a commanding early advantage. With two wins and two bonus points, Carter now sits at 26 points, 15 points ahead of Nik Camper and Landon Murray, who are tied for second. With five races still remaining, there is plenty of time for the standings to change, but Carter has already created a major gap by collecting all 26 possible points to start the season. Behind him, the battle from second through tenth is extremely tight, with only four points separating second from tenth.

The Pro Late Model West Regional Championship continues with Round 3 at in California. After Carter opened the season with back-to-back wins at Lucas Oil Speedway and Cedar Lake Speedway, Kern becomes the next opportunity for the field to cut into his early championship lead.
