The iRacing Champions League Midget National Tour is set to roll into Cedar Lake Speedway for the next round of Season 3 action. With Port Royal now in the books, the series is heading into its final stretch, and the championship picture is becoming increasingly clear. Cedar Lake has proven in past seasons to be a place where momentum can shift quickly, and with the points spread tightening behind the leader, every lap will matter.

At Port Royal, Aidan Strawberry once again stamped his authority on the championship chase, taking the win and stretching his margin at the top of the standings. Strawberry has now tallied five victories this season, pairing dominant race pace with crucial bonus points for qualifying fast times. Behind him, Parker Leek showed speed once again with another podium finish, though he continues to chase Strawberry in the standings. James Roselli was one of the night’s standout performers, charging through the field as the hard charger to claim a top-five finish and keep his hold on third place overall.

Cedar Lake carries its own history in the series. Back in Season 1 (Feb 17, 2023), Cody Parmley worked his way forward from fourth to score the win, with Strawberry finishing runner-up. In Season 2 (Apr 8, 2024), it was Brennan Rogers who went the distance from pole to victory lane, while Strawberry again proved consistent with a drive from 10th to third. That means in both prior visits, Strawberry has left Cedar Lake on the podium — an ominous sign for the rest of the field as the series heads there again.

The points standings continue to favor Strawberry, who leads by nearly 50 markers over Leek. Roselli sits another dozen points back, while Seth Gregory and Craig Silby round out the top five. The midfield, however, remains tightly contested. Drivers like Brayden E Carter and Jakob Stitzel have been climbing steadily and could use Cedar Lake as a springboard to higher positions. The short track nature of the speedway rewards aggression but punishes mistakes, meaning any one of the top ten could make a big swing in the standings.

As the season winds down, Cedar Lake could provide a crucial turning point. Will Strawberry extend his dominance, or can Leek, Roselli, or one of the charging midfielders finally disrupt his rhythm? With the championship window closing, Cedar Lake promises fireworks.
