The iRacing Champions League’s brand-new Tour Weekly Series roared to life with its first event at , and the debut couldn’t have been scripted better. A tight, side-by-side duel between newcomers Brendon Tymon and Braxton DeWeese defined the night — two drivers making their first career ICL starts in Tour Modified competition. When the checkered flag fell after 25 green-flag laps, it was Tymon who emerged victorious, scoring his first career ICL win in his very first start.

From the opening green, Tymon and DeWeese locked into a fierce battle that lasted nearly the entire race. Lap after lap, the two traded lanes, neither giving an inch. DeWeese held the preferred groove early, but Tymon’s persistence paid off as he finally cleared him in the second half of the event. Their thrilling contest showcased the balance of speed and respect that defines ICL short-track racing — and it set a strong tone for the rest of this six-race mini-season at USA International Speedway.

Behind them, Josh Kenyon quietly turned in one of the strongest runs of his ICL career, finishing third and earning 10 points toward the championship. He also logged one of the fastest averages among the top five, putting him just two points behind the leaders heading into Round 2. Seth Gregory and Davis Warren rounded out the top five — both delivering smooth, consistent nights. Warren, already known for his SK Modified Weekly championship at , proved once again that his short-track pace translates across platforms.

One of the most talked-about moments came when ICL veteran Aidan Strawberry spun on the front stretch. The incident forced him to back up to continue on, but he recovered impressively to finish sixth — narrowly missing the top five after charging through the field in the closing laps. His effort earned him Hard Charger honors, moving up several spots from his starting position despite the setback.

Further back, Doug Welch and Chris Gifford each earned solid finishes inside the top ten, while newcomers Chase Colon and Troyer Catalano made their first series appearances. Colon, despite losing track position mid-race, still managed to log valuable seat time and points that could prove critical later in the standings. It was a tough night for Jebidiah Burnett, Bryan Brewer, James Halladay, and Anthony Turner, who fought handling or pacing issues throughout the race but still earned points toward the season total.

With five races remaining, Tymon and DeWeese now sit tied atop the standings with 13 points apiece — 12 for the finish and one for Tymon’s fastest qualifying time. Kenyon (-2), Gregory (-3), and Warren (-4) round out a tightly packed top five. With just one point separating each finishing position, every lap and every qualifying effort will matter as the series moves forward.
