The third event of the iRacing Champions League SLM USA International Track Championship marked a pivotal moment in the six-race season, as the series officially reached its halfway point. With three races now in the books, the margin for error continues to shrink, and this round delivered a clear statement from the points leader. Braxton DeWeese put together a controlled and efficient performance to score his fifth career win in the series, doing so in just his 14th career start, and further tightening his grip on the championship lead.
DeWeese started from the pole and led all 25 laps, pacing the field from start to finish. He also set the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 20.937 on lap two, securing maximum race points and continuing a season defined by consistency. Through three races, DeWeese has finished inside the top four every time, and that steady production has pushed his total to 32 points, giving him an eight-point cushion with three races still remaining.
Behind him, Travis Wright delivered an impressive debut in his first career series start. Wright stayed glued to the leader throughout the event and finished second, earning 11 points and immediately placing himself inside the top ten in the standings. Davis Warren followed closely in third, rebounding from a difficult previous round to collect 10 points and keep himself firmly in the championship hunt. That result was Warren’s second top-three finish of the season and helped stabilize his position in second overall.
Aidan Strawberry continued one of the most consistent upward trends in the field with a fourth-place finish, once again adding valuable points and climbing to third in the standings. Joshua Brink also made his first career start count, finishing fifth and collecting eight points in a clean and measured run. Dustin Novoa quietly made the biggest move through the field, advancing from 11th on the grid to finish ninth, making him the hard charger of the race.
As the championship hits its midpoint, the storylines are becoming clearer. DeWeese’s consistency has made him the driver everyone else must chase, but Warren and Strawberry remain within striking distance if they can capitalize on bonus points and strong finishes. New faces like Wright and Brink have already shown they can contend immediately, and with three races still to go at the same venue, the title fight remains far from settled.
